During the 2026–2027 school year, Royal Talens materials are supporting creative expression for 110 children and young people who take part in activities at the Community Family Center (CFC) in Cañete, Peru. The center works closely with children, young people and their families, creating opportunities for children to grow up in a safe and supportive environment.
Creative activities at the Community Family Center
In 2026, the Community Family Center supports 50 families. Each family receives a tailored family plan based on its individual situation, strengths and needs. The aim is to help create a safe and stable home environment and strengthen families so that poverty does not lead to children being separated from their families. Children and young people can take part in educational support, psychological and social-emotional activities, and creative workshops.

Royal Talens materials are used across several activities and programmes at the center, including psychological and social-emotional workshops, arts and creative activities, and educational support and tutoring. Drawing, painting and other creative activities give children opportunities to make something of their own, explore their talents and express themselves creatively. The materials can also offer another way to express feelings when putting them into words is difficult.
Supporting children and their families
The NPH Peru team includes social workers, psychologists, educators and volunteers who work closely with the children and their families. The Community Family Center provides a place where children facing poverty and difficult circumstances can feel safe, learn, play and develop their talents.

Creative activities can provide moments in which children can draw, paint and make art freely. According to WereldOuders, these moments can help children clear their minds, explore their feelings and simply enjoy being a child. They also create space for creativity, confidence and joy.
This focus on creative expression connects with the Royal Talens Foundation’s mission to make creative learning accessible to children and young adults and to support their personal development through creativity.
